Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Taxolve ("we", "us") helps you scan, organise and export receipts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address (via email sign-in or Sign in with Apple), and a display name if you provide one.
- Receipt data — the receipt images you scan or upload, and the details extracted from them (merchant, date, amount, tax, category, payment method and any notes you add).
- Usage data — a per-day count of scans, used only to enforce fair-use limits.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use tracking for advertising.
How we use your information
- To read your receipts and extract their details using AI, and to store and display your receipts.
- To generate the Excel exports you request.
- To operate, secure and improve the service, and to respond to support requests.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run Taxolve:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication and encrypted storage for your account and receipts.
- OpenAI — processes receipt text or images to extract the details. Data sent for extraction is used only to return the result and is not used to train their models.
- Apple — provides Sign in with Apple if you choose it.
We never sell your personal data.
Storage & security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is scoped to your account through row-level security, so other users cannot see your receipts.
Data retention
We keep your receipts for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual receipts, clear all your data, or delete your account at any time from the app's Settings — deleting your account permanently removes your receipts and account data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (export to Excel, delete data, delete account), or contact us for help.
Children
Taxolve is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
